| What are Glyphs?Glyphs are the Ursun's Racial Crafting, they provide an extensional boost to your stats for 2 weeks. After two weeks they will disappear and you'll need to buy need ones to replace. Are they worth it? YES!! They can make your spells stronger, last longer or even have a cool effect! Not to mention the sweet stat boost to boot! A little here and there can go a long way as you will see further on in the guide! In order for an Ursun (Bear) to be able to make Glyphs, he must first make the Totem of the corresponding class and max it. This may be a little confusing since the translation is a little faulty. Just remember that the GREY "Glyphs" are actually the Totems and will not give you any stat bonuses. Think of it as Gems that anyone can make with the given blueprints (totems, except only Ursun can make these using their Racial Crafting) yet we need Humans to fortify them with their racial crafting for the extra boosts (glyphs would be the Ursun version). Below is the list of the Totems, when you get them, how much you need to max and the materials required to make them. It can be very overwhelming when it comes to choosing which Glyphs to pick and what effects to go for.... I've put a little something together to guide you through this process, hope it helps~! Know what you need before you buyThe first step in choosing Glyphs, is picking which Classes to boost. For those that "main every class" this may be a bit difficult since you'll need to spread out all over the board to get helpful stats for all classes. I find it easier to stick to one side (Magic vs Physical) and getting the boosts that will give you more for your buck (Agi vs Acc). Try to stay away from the not so helpful stats, like MP and HP (At lvl 75, 800 MP can't cast half of my skills as a Cleric, and 1.2k HP is 1/5 of a crit bonus with players hitting way over 30k). Stat vs. EffectChoosing between the static stat boost or the skill effect can be challenging, but ask yourself a few simple questions to reach your decision. 1. Is this my main Class?If yes, then choose from the Skill Effects. If no, choose the stat that you feel you need the most improvement on. 2. How often will I play this class?Don't pick Skill Effects for a class you hardly ever play, stick to similar classes to boost stats (like m-crit for Healing and Magic Classes). 3. Will I play it often enough that I would benefit from the skill boost tremendously? If you're still making excuses as why you should get the Glyph for the Skill Effect instead of one for the Stat Bonus, ask yourself how many times will you use it in PvP? 4. Is my class even leveled and geared?If you are not using a fortified weapon, the Skill Effect won't be very noticeable since you don't have a high enough base stat to work with. Note: The Skill Effect is only active while you're playing that Glyph's Class. The Stat Boost is passive (always active). If your main is a Magician and you're trying to decide if you should get the Hunter's Poison Arrow Rain Glyph (LCK +13, +3 CRIT DMG, +3 MCRIT DMG) or Flash Bomb Glyph (When attacking a target with Flash Bomb debuff active, 5% chance to prevent the target from using any physical damaging skills, lasts 6 seconds) ask yourself if it's worth not having that extra boost. If not, you may want to stick to the stat boost. Pick from the Skill Bonus Effects for your main Classes, and Stats for those classes that remain neglected. If you may have noticed the Poison Arrow Rain Glyph can benefit both Magician and Hunter, while the Flash Bomb Glyph would only benefit the hunter. Try to pick Glyphs that would benefit you and your main classes the most. Putting it all TogetherNow if you were to buy one Glyph for each Class, this is how much they would increase your Core Stats. Here are the steps to picking: Choose Skill Effects for your main Class/es. (If you don't like any of them, then skip Step 1 and go straight to Step 2) Pick one Stat to boost (don't pass the cap!) See which Class Glyphs remain and choose other Stats to boost using the remaining classes. ::Example:: I main Cleric. I chose the Holy Smite Glyph. I need to boost my M-DMG. So I can get Glyphs for M-DMG from these classes: Dragon Knight, Hunter, Engineer, Cleric, Bard, Shaman, Magician, Illusionist. Other stats I need are Mcrit, EVA, Luck and Def. For Luck I'll chose Sage and for Defense I'll chose Warrior and Templar. Mcrit rate is Warlock. Lastly for EVA I have Knight, Thief, Martial Artist, Blade Dancer and Ranger. I didn't forget about Samurai, it's just one that isn't useful to me. I can go either with the ACC or HP or whichever is cheapest, either will work for the stats I need. Don't be afraid to experiment a little, try different Glyphs out until you find the ones you like and/or need most and give you the most benefit. Remember, they only last 2 weeks! | |
